Beijing Twinning Programme Day 2 (31st May 2010)

Upon arrival at the gate of Beijing 109 Middle School, we were greeted by a banner made for Serangoon Secondary School. The teachers were also there to welcome us.

Welcome meeting with the Principal and teachers in the conference room

Mr Liu Binghui, Principal of Beijing 109 Middle School, sharing about the rich history of the school with us.

We went for a tour around the school...

and even attended their morning assembly! We were so impressed with their discipline and unity throughout the ceremony.

After school, we had lunch together. It was a sumptuous meal with at least 14 dishes!

Mr Liu Binghui is a very warm person by nature. He delivered a heartfelt welcome speech that we thought was really encouraging!

Trying out the famous Peking Duck… yummy!

We visited Tiananmen Square in the afternoon after school. It was really an eye opener for many of us.

We are all looking forward to attend lessons at Beijing 109 Middle School tomorrow!
